Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support to provide exceptional support to our customers and dealers. This is a fixed-term contract for 6 to 12 months with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling technical support queries via phone and email, assisting with product installations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the field installation team.
Note-This is a not an I.T role.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and effective technical support via phone and email to customers and dealers.
- Assist dealers in installing new products through remote technical guidance.
- Support troubleshooting and repairs of products over the phone.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to our products.
- Offer onsite technical support and troubleshooting as required.
- Process and review parts orders for customers.
- Document processes and procedures to streamline technical support operations.
- Participate in field installations for training purposes.
- Work closely with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Engineering Technologist or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Software Proficiency: SolidWorks , DraftSight/AutoCAD (an asset).
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical aspects related to manufacturing, including reading drawings and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of electronics, component identification, troubleshooting, and basic circuits (an asset).
- Experience with lifts and elevators (preferred).
- Customer Service: Prior experience in a customer service role is beneficial.
- Communication: Must be able to clearly and fluently communicate in English, both written and spoken.
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
